THE ASK:

Makowski’s Real Sausage partnered with our team to transform an existing industrial facility into a modern, high-performance food production and distribution operation. The project included comprehensive upgrades to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to support large-scale sausage manufacturing, along with customized areas for specialized processing equipment, improved loading and logistics capabilities, and enhanced office space for administrative and quality-control functions.

THE DELIVERY:

The Missner Group was selected as the general contractor for the renovation of two existing facilities in support of Makowski’s expansion. Our team collaborated closely with Makowski’s pre-selected design partners and coordinated with specialized subcontractors to ensure the proper installation, integration, and performance of all production equipment.

The project included significant exterior restoration and complex HVAC, electrical, and mechanical upgrades to support drying rooms, freezer and cooler spaces, and a large industrial boiler system. These improvements enable Makowski’s team to scale operations and improve efficiency by transitioning from a multi-story facility in Chicago to a modern, single-story production environment with upgraded infrastructure and equipment.
