Judd Missner


Judd Missner represents the second generation at The Missner Group. As Chairman for the company which his father established in 1945, Mr. Missner employs a level of leadership and expertise consistent with the firm’s founding principles. He ensures The Missner Group provides value to every project, that the teams understand the clients´ requirements, and that projects are completed within their established budgets and schedules.

Arguably one of the most knowledgeable professionals in the field of construction, Mr. Missner has led an extensive and varied career for the past 55 years. He began his career as a laborer and worked his way through the profession developing a complete understanding of the various trades and technologies. Mr. Missner served in numerous roles including foreman, carpenter, estimator, project engineer and project manager. He assumed a leadership role at the firm in 1972 and has since lent his support to every aspect of the firm’s business. During his tenure he has led business development, overseen projects and construction teams, facilitated the pre-construction phase of projects with unmatched ease, and played a hands-on role in the firm’s overall strategy.

Today the third generation of the family leads the firm, but not without the guidance and strategic direction of Mr. Missner. His broad expertise, leadership and ideas are highly valued and sought after by The Missner Group team as well as architects, engineers and sub-contractors throughout the industry. He consistently provides knowledge, support and resources to every aspect of the family business. He is a benefit to his family, his clients, his colleagues and his peers. He is a principled man with a consummate eye for detail and a commitment to the legacy of the Missner name.

Barry C. Missner «

Barry C. Missner

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Barry Missner is an experienced developer, entrepreneur and leader, with nearly 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. He has extensive knowledge in the areas of real estate development and investment, acquisition and disposition of commercial property, equity and debt procurement, construction and mortgage financing, joint venture structures, private syndication, lease negotiations, property and asset management, and receivership. A natural business talent with a keen attention to detail, Mr. Missner consistently strives to exceed expectations. He is dedicated to personal involvement in every project, driven by the problem solving nature of the business, and committed to creating innovative and cost-effective solutions for his extensive client base.

Mr. Missner coordinates the firm’s strategic planning efforts and for the last 15 years has headed investment and development activities for The Missner Group. In these efforts Mr. Missner has personally facilitated numerous joint-venture partnerships resulting in many successful developments, including a NAIOP award for Industrial Redevelopment of the Year. He has also significantly grown The Missner Group’s property investment portfolio on behalf of the firm’s private investors.

A diehard Wildcat, Mr. Missner earned his Bachelor of Science in Regional Development from the University of Arizona, then attended Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business. He is a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation given by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute which recognizes experts in the commercial and investment real estate industry. He is also a national forum member of the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP), an active affiliate of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers, and has volunteered with the Center for Economic Progress.

Glen Missner «

Glen Missner


Glen Missner is the President of The Missner Group, a full-service general contractor and real estate developer, in its third generation of family leadership. With nearly 30 years of experience, he is responsible for business development, operations, strategic decision making and serving as a mentor to the firm’s construction team. He is also personally involved in the development of new projects from conceptual planning and budgeting through permitting and project completion. He draws from his strong network of resources and varied experience to provide clients with a high-quality experience, and is dedicated to the firm’s core principles, placing a high-level of value on personal involvement and accountability for projects of every size and scope.

Like his grandfather and father before him, Mr. Missner began his professional career working as a laborer, foreman and carpenter’s apprentice for The Missner Group at age 15. While a student, he also spent his summers working for various sub-trades in the concrete, masonry and carpentry industries. After graduation from the University of Arizona, he spent several years in real estate asset management and project management before joining his family’s firm full-time in 1989. In the past 26 years, he has personally participated in more than $600 million worth of construction and development projects throughout the Chicago area. Additionally, Mr. Missner, alongside his father and brother, have successfully carried on the family’s legacy by expanding The Missner Group into new markets and industries, while attracting and maintaining the industry’s top construction and real estate professionals.  

Mr. Missner is active within the commercial real estate industry, and is a member of both the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. He is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, which promotes sustainable building practices. In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Missner is also actively involved in numerous civic organizations and charities including the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Ronald McDonald House, Imerman Angels, and Friends of Jaclyn.

Bob Nomellini «

Bob Nomellini

Chief Operating Officer

Bob Nomellini has a long and distinguished career in the construction industry. A tradesman and general contractor for more than 40 years, he brings his extensive experience and unique perspective to every construction project. In his new role as Chief Operating Officer of The Missner Group, Bob draws from his vast knowledge and established network of resources to complete cost-effective projects for a broad client base.

As COO, Bob is responsible for business development, estimating and budgeting, and new client management from introduction to final contract negotiations. He also oversees all phases of the project from owner responsibilities to the management of superintendents and sub-contractors. Bob provides hands-on project involvement and is instrumental throughout the entire process including the initial design development meetings; construction document phase; bidding and awarding of subcontractors; construction management; and final closeout.

Prior to joining The Missner Group, Bob spent more than 40 years in the construction industry as both a tradesman and general contractor. He began his career as a union carpenter in residential construction, building both single and multi-family housing. For the next 15 years Bob worked constructing luxury, custom homes as well as performing home remodeling projects on Chicago's North Shore. He began the next phase of his career working at large general contracting firms where he gained extensive experience managing construction teams, including field and project management staff. Bob soon moved into working with large general construction firms completing projects in the commercial, industrial, retail and medical fields throughout the Chicagoland area.

In 2005, Bob founded lnsite Construction, where he completed numerous projects in the commercial and industrial arena. He has constructed new office, retail and industrial buildings along with interior improvements including office and healthcare build-outs. His long history in the construction industry enables Bob to bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience to every project; and his passion for the process makes him a great asset to clients.

Edward M. Adler «

Edward M. Adler

Executive Vice President

Mr. Adler is a 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry and is the Executive Vice President of The Missner Group. He leads the firm's real estate acquisitions, business development, and capital fundraising for syndication and equity funds.

As Executive Vice President, Mr. Adler sources equity investment opportunities thereby bringing qualified investments to the firm, its partners, and its clients. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of solid donor relationships, and the identification and implementation of new direct response programs intended to increase income and reduce the cost of fundraising. Mr. Adler also manages the real estate brokers responsible for the sale or leasing of the firm's properties and has been instrumental in the completion of several major lease signings on the firm's behalf.

Prior to joining the Missner Group in 2004, Mr. Adler was a partner at Landstar Development, a private equity and real estate acquisition firm where he was responsible for more than 30 transactions valued in excess of $100 million. Mr. Adler was also employed as a commercial real estate broker for a number of years for firms including Sheldon F. Good & Associates, Baird & Warner Commercial and Grubb & Ellis where he was consistently recognized as a top producer.

Mr. Adler is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He is an active volunteer for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF).

Aldo Bottalla «

Aldo Bottalla

Vice President, Business Development

Aldo Bottalla, Vice President of Business Development for the firm, brings over a decade of experience in the commercial real estate industry to his role at The Missner Group. A talented professional, Mr. Bottalla is known for his leadership skills and strong work ethic, and attributes his many career achievements to these attributes, coupled with providing the highest level of professionalism and integrity to each client and project.

In his role with The Missner Group, Mr. Bottalla will help lead, develop and coordinate the firm's new business initiatives. He is partially responsible for overseeing and growing the firm’s construction and development sector while sourcing additional opportunities to create long-term value.

Prior to joining the Missner Group, Mr. Bottalla was Senior Vice President of Sales with Universal Gaming Group, LLC in Chicago, where he managed a large sales team and was a key component to the business’ growth to more than 180 locations throughout Illinois. In addition, Aldo worked for Sperry Van Ness Real Estate Company where he was a Vice President. Mr. Bottalla also played an integral role in the initiation and development of the commercial real estate brokerage division of Conlon Commercial Real Estate Company.

Mr. Bottalla is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois and is a graduate of Arizona State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Angela Aeschliman «

Angela Aeschliman

Senior Vice President, Property and Asset Management

Angela Aeschliman, Senior Vice President of Property and Asset Management for the firm, leads and directs the firm's ongoing growth and development of the property management team by drawing from more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. Ms. Aeschliman is an indsutry professional with strong leadership and organizatoinal skills, and a keen awareness and ability for solidifying and mantaining strong relationships with tenants, owners, investors and her team. 

At the Missner Group, she is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational needs of the firm's extensive commercial real estate portfolio. She also oversees the management of in-house and third party contracts, works to improve the ease and efficiency added by the property management team, and works closely with tenants and investors to deliver on their needs. Ms. Aeschliman is steadfast in mantaining and increasing the value of the firm's portfolio by focusing on tenant retention and by utilizing both preventative management techniques and innovative efficiencies to lower operating expenses and attract new tenants. 

Prior to joining The Missner Group, Angela was the Chief Operating Officer for Watermark Property Management, a sister company of Baum Realty Group, in Chicago where she developed and ran the entire property management company and was named REALTOR of the Year for the NICAR loval Realtor Association. In 2014 she also was awarded the prestigious Leadership Award from the IREM Chicago Chapter #23. Angela is a life long learner and an industry leader who believes in giving back, to her peers, mentees, local associations and owners. Angela is currently the President of IREM Chicago Chapter #23 and is a past President of NICAR - Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors.
