McGrath Acura
The Missner Group is pleased to announce that the firm has started construction on McGrath Acura. This new state-of-the-art dealership will be located at the corner of Elston Avenue and Division Street in Chicago directly across the street from McGrath Lexus, and on the banks of the Chicago River. The 57,000 square foot project will feature a dramatic two-story glass showroom, a cafe, television lounge with a fireplace, and a Zen room. Additional elements include a metal panel facade with Acura's signature logo, skylit new car showroom as well as a paver walkway and outdoor patio along the north branch of the Chicago River. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2012.
In other news, Principal, Barry Missner, has been named court-appointed receiver on fourteen properties throughout the Chicagoland area. "Our firm has provided property and asset management services for years, and acting as receiver and/or manager is a natural extension of our knowledge-base and expertise. We can easily provide banks with peace-of-mind, and ease their burden by applying our management expertise and bringing these properties back to stabilization.

It is with mixed emotions that we make this next announcement. Long-time staff member and Vice President, Dennis Kosko, announced his retirement this month. While we will certainly miss Dennis' personality and hard work around the office, we want to wish him much happiness and enjoyment with his family and of course, many, many great rounds of golf. Hit 'em straight Dennis!

Gina Galante

We are pleased to announce that Gina Galante has assumed the role of Vice President Property/Asset Management. Gina has over 20 years of property and asset management experience and we know that she will provide the same high-level of customer service with which our clients have become accustomed. Prior to joining The Missner Group, Gina was a sole practitioner offering strategic and analytical consulting services for clients in the institutional and corporate real estate industries. Clients relied upon Gina for services including asset management, property management, tenant representation, due diligence coordination, leasing support and staff supervision.

Jack Sbertoli

Jack Sbertoli joins the project management team after having served as a project engineer in Chicago's commercial real estate industry since 2003, Jack made the leap to project manager with The Missner Group, and will be responsible for estimating, cost analysis, securing bids and overall project management. He’s already underway on numerous projects. Jack grew up in Libertyville, Illinois where he attended Carmel High School before going on to recieve his Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. Jack has raised money for the Rock for Reading organization and volunteers with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Jack is an avid runner and has completed the Chicago Marathon. Jack also enjoys golf and skiing in his free time.
Phil Larsen
We are also pleased to welcome our newest member of the superintendent staff, Phil Larsen. Phil has worked in the construction industry for nearly 35 years. His knowledge and experience make him an asset to have in the field. Phil will be directly in charge of daily construction operations including the management of field staff, subcontractors and suppliers. He will also provide on-site coordination and management of the construction process.
